Merry Christmas everyone. It’s Belinda from Castle Quarters real people again.
I was very excited when the team at Castle Quarter asked me to do a review of Superbowl UK on level 2. My husband and I both love bowling and thought it the perfect opportunity to spend time with our friends Linda and Gary. I booked ahead as it was a Saturday and just as well, because although they have 14 lanes it was busy.
We were greeted at reception by Josh and Jordan who were both friendly and informative. They checked us in and gave us our bowling shoes. Keeping one of our shoes, so no problem getting the correct one at the end.
We started well with my friend Linda getting a strike. She was very happy as she doesn’t play very often. We had a hiccup where a single pin wasn’t picked up by the machine. But we pressed the service button and Ollie quickly came over and sorted it. He also came back a few minutes later to check we were OK which was a great service.
Although it was busy it didn’t feel overcrowded, with a mixture of family groups, couples and friends. An added bonus is the well-stocked bar and a good menu of reasonably priced food, from breakfast to burgers.
After bowling, we didn’t want the fun to stop so had a look around. The Crazy club play centre for young children looks very exciting. We also had a go on some of the games in the SEGA prize zone arcade. Most of them, as well as playing, you can collect tickets towards prizes. I tried to win a soft snowman toy at one machine but was unlucky.
We had a great time and when we left we were planning when we could get together to go bowling again.
They have a great offer for New years eve. £200.00 to book a lane, 8pm – 1am. You get a hot buffet, prosecco at midnight and some prize games all included!
Seasons greeting and a happy new year
