The YMCA store will allow customers can enjoy thrifty finds and sustainable, environmentally friendly shopping which supports the local community. YMCA Norfolk is part of the largest youth charity in the world and is well respected for its work in transforming the lives of young people. Its new charity shop is due to open on the ground floor of Castle Quarter and will sell good quality, second-hand items including clothes, furniture, electricals, books and homewares. The shop’s proceeds will support the charity’s work in making a difference to the lives of young people and families across Norfolk. The new YMCA shop will also create job and volunteering opportunities for people in the city. The charity is currently recruiting for a part-time Charity Assistant Store Manager and is actively seeking more volunteers to join the team. Following the Government’s latest announcement that Norfolk will be entering Tier 4, from Boxing Day (26th December).

Castle Quarter & its car parks will be closed, on Boxing Day. However, Boots will be open from 9:30-3:30pm, only from the optician’s entrance at the top of Rose Lane.

The Centre will reopen on Sunday 27th December, from 10am-4pm for essential retailers, click & collect, takeaways & deliveries. Please check with the individual retailer before traveling.

Going forward the centre doors will open at 8am & close at 6pm Monday – Saturday. Please check shop trading times with the individual retailers.
