We love the annual Run Norwich weekend at Castle Quarter. There’s something special about seeing the event take over the city, bringing fun, energy and an incredible sense of community to Norwich.

And this year’s event on Sunday 6th September certainly didn’t disappoint.

A record-breaking 8,047 runners took to the city streets, making 2026 the biggest Run Norwich yet – up from 7,800 participants last year. With runners aged from just 7 to 87, the event brought people of all ages and abilities together for a memorable morning.

The atmosphere was incredible, with an estimated 20,000 spectators lining the route to cheer everyone on. From Norwich Castle and Carrow Road Football Stadium to Norwich Cathedral, runners passed some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, with supporters creating an amazing buzz along the way.

Of course, Run Norwich is about much more than race times and course records. It’s about determination, personal achievements, fundraising, friendship and community. It’s brilliant to see so many people come together from across Norwich and beyond, all sharing in the excitement and supporting one another.

As a city centre destination, we were proud to see Norwich come alive with such positivity, bringing together residents, visitors, businesses, runners, volunteers and supporters for a day that celebrated everything we love about our city.
